Training on sugarcane cultivation

On 29 – 31 July 2019, the Indonesian Sugar Research Institute (ISRI) hosted a sugarcane cultivation training to the Office of Plantation and Horticulture of Southeast Sulawesi Province. The training was attended by 30 people consisting of technical officers from the Southeast Sulawesi’s Office of Plantation and Horticulture, as well as farmers from different regions in the province of Southeast Sulawesi. For three days, participants obtained some theories and practices regarding sugarcane cultivation, from land preparation to post-harvest handling (cutting down, loading, transporting of sugarcane). They also learned business analysis of sugarcane farming.
