From September 30 to October 2, 2019, the Indonesian Sugar Research Institute (ISRI), in collaboration with Office of Plantation and Animal Husbandry Service of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatera organised training of sugarcane cultivation. The event was attended by 30 people consisting of technical officers from the Office of Plantation and Animal Husbandry Service of Ogan Komering Ilir, as well as sugarcane farmers from several areas in Ogan Komering Ilir. During the three days of the training, participants got some theories about sugarcane cultivation methods, from land preparation to post-harvest (cut, load, transport). The participants also learned a business analysis of sugarcane farming. On the last day, the participants had a chance to visit the sugar milling factory of Krebet Baru and sugar plantation of Kebonagung in Malang Regency.
